It's not easy being Britney -- just ask Rihanna.
The media frenzy that swirled around the singer right after she was viciously beaten by then-boyfriend Chris Brown left her feeling like the beleaguered pop tart.
"I felt like I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears," the singer told Glamour magazine. "That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day. It was like, what, there are helicopters circling my house? There are 100 people in my cul-de-sac? What do you mean I can't go back home?"
The 21-year-old beauty said the "positive thing" to come out of her experience that February night is that she's able to send a message to young women."Domestic violence is a big secret. No kid goes around and lets people know their parents fight. Teenage girls can't tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up," she told the magazine.
"It's one of the things we [women] will hide, because it's embarrassing. My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that," Rihanna said.
She said that her friends and family were supportive. "But at some point, you are there alone. It's a lonely place to be -- no one can understand. That's when you get close to God."
Rihanna also called it a "humiliating" slap when a photo of her battered face was leaked. "I felt completely taken advantage of," she told Glamour. "I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it's my life."

We compile the special moments when a kiss made us sit up and take notice – from the controversial to the simply sweet. Some of these kisses have a story to tell, the rest are just delicious.
Former tennis champions and life partners Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf kiss just before they take on former Tim Henman and Kim Clijsters in a mixed doubles exhibition tennis match to showcase the moveable roof installed on the Wimbledon court complex. Down to Desi shores, the HIV-AIDS awareness event in New Delhi in 2007 ensured Shilpa Shetty lived up to her tag of controversy’s favourite desi babe. Hollywood star Richard Gere literally swept her off her feet in what may have been a harmless gesture. Of course, the moral police cried foul. |

Britney Spears has requested a stripper pole
Britney Spears has requested a stripper pole be installed in Britney Spears hotel room.
The 'Toxic' singer - who is a huge fan of pole dancing as it helps maintain her new slender figure - made the unusual request to staff at London's Dorchester Hotel, where she will be staying when she performs at the city's O2 arena in June as part of the UK leg of her 'Circus' tour.
A source said: "Britney loves pole dancing, it is her new favourite work out. She gets the toning she needs without having to hit the gym and wants to do it in the privacy of her own hotel room.
"Keeping fit on tour is very important as her show involves lots of rigorous dance routines, so Britney likes to do her pole dancing workout first thing in the morning."
The mother-of-two has also requested the hotel provide a chef from restaurant chain Nando's to be on hand to cook her spicy chicken whenever she feels like it.
Britney's request comes just days after Russell Brand asked for a private pole.
The British comic star - who once gave Britney sex tips - is set to stay at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino when shooting starts on movie 'Get Him to the Greek' in Las Vegas.
Russell has requested the famous Apex suite, known as the "ultimate bachelor pad", and has its own stripper pole.From:www.chinadaily.com.cn
